How many Face Pencils do you recommend?
We recommend everyone has 2-3 Face Pencils so they can conceal any part of the face, any time of year.
The Face Pencil #1 - Your first pencil should be the shade that closest matches the skin tone on your face. When you apply it to your forehead and cheeks, it should blend in seamlessly with your skin and be virtually undetectable.
The Face Pencil #2 - Select a pencil shade that is a few shades lighter than your face shade to conceal and lighten under eye circles. We don’t recommend using your face shade here as your under eye complexion is naturally lighter.
The Face Pencil #3 - If you are someone who naturally tans in the summer, you may want to have another face shade handy to properly conceal in any season. Choose one that is 1-3 shades deeper.
What's the difference between The Face Pencil and Neutralizer Pencil?
The Neutralizer Pencil brightens and color corrects darkness around the eyes, while The Face Pencil evens out skin tone around the eyes and other parts of the face.
Can I use it as a foundation?
The Face Pencil is not intended to be used as a foundation. You can use it anywhere on your face, but we recommend keeping your application only to where you need it. What's the best way to apply?
Simply dot The Face Pencil wherever you need to conceal and tap with your fingers to blend the product into your skin. You can also use The Detail Brush to blend into tighter areas around the eyes and nose. Build up your coverage level by applying multiple layers. For longer-lasting wear, follow up with a light dusting of Tinted Face Powder.
Is it suitable for all skin types?
Yes, The Face Pencil is formulated to work on all skin types. If your skin is extra dry, apply our Eye Cream or Rich Eye Cream before using The Face Pencil to nourish the skin and ensure it glides on smoothly.
