One day, I saw a movie called Love Story, starring Ali MacGraw, and it changed everything. I remember it like it was yesterday. Ali's dark hair parted in the middle, her thick brows, and barely there makeup with her freckles showing, was stunning. It was through her, I was finally able to appreciate my own beauty.

It was the first time I related to an actress in terms of beauty. I grew up in an era where the gorgeous Christie Brinkley and other blonde bombshells ruled the runways and were splashed on every magazine cover.
Ali MacGraw made me feel a sense of confidence I hadn’t felt before. She helped me to feel comfortable in my own skin, and ultimately, it was her look inspired my style of makeup.

To this day Ali continues to influence me. She has embraced going gray (I’m not ready yet), and optimizes the definition of aging gracefully. I am beyond blessed that I got to meet my beauty idol. She is kind, funny, and incredibly upbeat. She is such a cool woman. In my opinion, since beauty is confidence, Ali MacGraw is the definition of both.
