As we age, our beauty needs evolve. Instead of focusing on looking younger, we should focus on looking better.

Luckily, this is easy to achieve. We can start with using products that work well for our skin, living a healthy lifestyle, and embracing our features. Below are my top tips to help you look and feel your best.

1. Skip The Traditional, Heavy Powdered Makeup Products

If you’re over 50 and want to look and feel your best, you may want to think twice about using traditional makeup. As we age, our skin changes. It becomes drier, duller, and it loses collagen.

Traditional makeup can be very powdery and cakey, sinking into lines and making them look unnecessarily worse. I find that the old school flat makeup can actually make a lot of women look older, and that’s not the goal.

My suggestion? Swap the traditional, full coverage makeup for something lighter and moisturizing.

2.Ignore Anti-Aging Products. There's No Such Thing

There’s just no such thing as anti-aging products. We are all aging, and guess what that is a great thing. I don’t believe that any products can stop aging, and I don’t like that they promise to.

I am pro-aging; getting older is a gift, and I never say that our products help you look younger because I don’t want to imply that getting older is bad. It’s great, but we all want to look better as we age.

3. Moisturize and Drink Lots Of Water

I firmly believe in beauty from the inside out. What we put in our bodies, what we eat, how we take care of our skin, and how much water we drink greatly affects how we look and feel. I aim to drink as much water as I can and always use moisturizer. It makes a big difference.

I now try to use makeup that also is skincare. That’s one reason why Miracle Balm is so great, it’s equal parts skincare and makeup.

Most days I don’t even need another moisturizer, I just apply Miracle Balm as my step one. It gives me a little bit of color and a beautiful, healthy looking glow.

4.Embrace Your Features And Don't Cover Up

I don't believe that makeup should be used to cover up. I don't believe in contouring to change the shape of your face, and I don't like full coverage foundation that tries to cover up.

We all have beauty within us, so I like to use makeup to accentuate our best features and just provide some "support" where it can help without trying to mask or contour.

It's as much about confidence and feeling good in your skin as it is about how you look.

I love a glow on a fresh look that makes you feel confident. I don't think anyone feels or looks their best with flat makeup that strips the glow and sinks into wrinkles.

This is what makeup is all about: enhancing your features, not hiding them so you not only like how you look, but I want you to love how you feel.

5. Use Hybrid Skincare and Makeup
