When I was asked to write about my favorite sneakers, I didn’t expect it to morph into a love letter to sneakers of all kinds. It made me realize that I have an obsession. After years of being photographed in the highest of heels, I took things down a notch — literally. (Thank goodness I’m okay with my diminutive size. I’m five-feet tall, 5’4” if I’m standing with my best posture.) I realized I’m happier when I’m comfortable and, for me, that means wearing sneakers.
Last year, I donated my collection of Prada platforms and Alaïa booties to ThredUp as part of a campaign with Greats sneakers. The proceeds from the sale went to Girls, Inc and it helped me free up a lot of space in my closet. Now, I’m more dedicated than ever to my sneaker collection.
Here are a few of my can’t-live-without styles:

Asics Gel Kayano
These are my go-to for bootcamp, walking, and all things fitness – amazing.

Gucci Ace Sneakers
Just because they are this cute – and they have to have the signature stripe.

Louis Vuitton Stellar High Tops
When I first saw these on the Saks shoe floor, I had to have them. I had such a major crush. I’m not really a high top girl, but when I wear them I get lots of compliments.

Sandro Velcro Sneakers
This pair is just so easy. They remind me of the sneakers my kids wore when they were little.

Valentino Open Sneaker
My go-to with dark jeans. I’m pretty sure the inspiration was duct tape on a white shoe...
